A number of governors have threatened to go to court to pile pressure for the government to release the county funds that they have not yet received.
While speaking on Saturday, Kakamega governor, Wycliffe Oparanya vowed to go to court seeking the constitutional interpretation of Government's decision to delay the funds as it totally violates the provisions of the constitution.
The sentiments come amid the claim by the NASA allied governors to have not received the funds allocated to them by treasury as compared to their counterparts of Jubilee whom they allege to have received.
A section of the NASA governors who spoke to Sunday nation said that they are yet to receive the funds since July terming the situation as a plan by the government to starve their counties thus killing devolution.
They also alleged that the withholding is intentional and is linked to some top senior jubilee officials on the grounds that the opposition governors have been funding their presidential flagbearer,Raila Odinga.
