Former presidential candidate Mohamed Abduba Dida has once again expressed interest for the State House.
As opposed to 2013, this time round Dida will be vying on a Tunza Coalition ticket.
This is after his Alliance for Real Change and Roots Party of Kenya (RPK) merged to form the coalition.
The former teacher picked his coalition partner, Prof George Wajackoyah, as his running mate.
Dida was however quick to note that the coalition will only produce one nomination certificate for the presidency, adding that two parties will conduct their primaries separately for the remaining posts.
“RPK will issue certificates as RPK, nomination certificates, and as Alliance for Real Change, we will issue nomination certificates as ARK. The certificates will come from the respective parties. But we partner to give the country an alternative leadership,” Dida stated, Sunday.
According to Wajackoyah, Kenya is lacking the right leaders.
“We need room in this country for people like me and Dida,” said Wajackoyah.
Dida came fifth in the 2013 race with 52, 848 votes, defeating Narc-Kenya’s, Martha Karua, lawyer Paul Muite, and former Education PS James Ole Kiyapi.
He is set to officially unveil his candidature.
