Machakos Senator Johnson Muthama is not a pushover when it comes to national politics. The legislator has been very vocal on matters of national interest.
His recent fallout with former vice President and Wiper Party leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka has caused a storm in the National Super Alliance (NASA).
Regardless of what others leaders say about him, Muthama will always speak his mind. The senator has differed with Kalonzo Musyoka on several occasions.
Some time back, the senator walked out of a rally attended by Kalonzo after they differed over the issue of briefcase parties as he used to call small parties.
The lawmaker firm stand on different issues has made him be hated and loved in equal measure. During the push for Kalonzo to be named NASA flag bearer, Muthama sidelined himself, a move that increased animosity between him and other leaders.
The senator has said that he will campaign for Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (Cord) leader Raila Amolo Odinga but he will not associate himself with Wiper Party, which is among the political outfits forming the alliance.
The recent revelations of the legislator have sparked mixed thoughts among Kenyan leaders. Muthama alleged that Kalonzo had stuffed ballot boxes as Mutua had claimed earlier on.
