[Photo: @ItsMutai/Twitter]The race for Bomet gubernatorial seat has officially kicked off, after the IEBC cleared two main rivals to contest.Sotik MP Dr Joyce Laboso arrived in Bomet town accompanied by her running mate Dr Hillary Barchok, Friday, for clearance.The exercise went on smoothly after which she held a rally at the Bomet Green Stadium.The National Assembly Deputy Speaker slammed his opponent, Chama Cha Mashinani (CCM) party leader, governor Isaac Ruto, saying he had nothing to show off for the people of Bomet, ever since he assumed office.Ruto who joined the Opposition's Nasa as the fifth principal, was cleared Thursday, where he held a rally at the Bomet stadium, that was attended by a mammoth of crowd.Laboso dismissed Ruto's party, saying it had no relevance in Bomet."Our enemy is Nasa. Forget CCM because there's nothing like CCM here. The battle is between Jubilee and Nasa," said the Jubilee Party candidate.
