Kisii deputy county commissioner Peter Mbugi has warned brewers in the County who threaten police officers when they destroy illicit brew in various villages.
Speaking on Wednesday at Bobaracho Kiongoro Division in Kisii county, Mbugi warned those threatening police officers by saying if found a serious action will be taken against them.
“Police officers are here to do their work because we need to end this illegal alcohol production in various villages but whoever is found threatening police officers a serious action will be taken against the culprit,” said Mbugi.
On Wednesday more than 90,000 liters of chang’aa and kangara were poured down at Bobaracho during the crackdown of ending illicit brew in the region but nobody was arrested when the operation was conducted.
He also warned those involved in such business and advised them to stop and join other groups to get loans to conduct different business that can help them in future and to prosper
