Kanunga chief, Kiambaa Sub-County with the help of some residents have today apprehended 3 men dumping dogs in drainage terraces in the cover of darkness.
Speaking at the scene, the area chief Jane Wambui said that the men had dumped another dog at the same point a month ago which had really disturbed the residents.
This time according to her they could not escape as she had caught them red handed.
Wambui revealed that she had told the area residents to alert her in case of such incidents and yesterday residents called her saying she had spotted three people hovering in the area.
The resident thought the people were carrying human bodies as insecurity has been an issue of concern in the area.
They tried to run but the residents surrounded and apprehended them.
Some of the residents were dumping to beat them but the chief told them to let the law act against them.
The chief and the residents loaded the carcasses back on to the cart and the 3 had come with and they were taken to the Njogu police post.
The chief lauded residents for their corporation in helping apprehend the 3 who had escaped the arm of the law.
She appealed to them to keep the spirit up as it will work positively towards helping them achieve security and social welfare.
Speaking at the scene, one of the residents, Hilda Kamau said that the chief had done well to come in tome as the residents would have attacked the people in anger.
Kamau said that the area residents are tired of others taking advantage of them and will take action.
She mentioned that the 3 men were taking advantage of their kindness for weakness.
