Three suspects were on Thursday arrested for allegedly abducting two female students from Ngeria High School in Uasin Gishu County.
Eldoret West OCPD Samuel Mutunga who confirmed the incident said the suspects - Paul Maina, Peter Maina and Anne Njeri - were arrested in Limuru town on their way to Nairobi when they were trying to escape with the two students.
"We received information from two parents that their children were missing. We launched investigations and found that they were at Huruma Estate," he said at the Eldoret West police station, Friday.
"When they discovered that we were following them they escaped to Limuru where they were arrested after we tracked their movements," he added.
He reiterated that the three will be arraigned in court on Monday and will be charged with abduction.
"We are yet out determine their motive but investigations are underway. The students are in a stable condition," noted Mutunga.
The two students are 16 and 17 years old.
