Three bodies were found dumped by the roadside in Nyambune, Sameta Sub-county, Kisii County.
The three, who were not immediately identified, were stacked into a sack, with indications pointing to having been killed elsewhere before their bodies were dumped.
Their bodies were found by traders who were heading to Igare Market early in the morning, who in turn informed other villagers.
Police from Itumbe Police Post was then called into action and other administration officers who rushed to the area to witness the incident.
The three were not immediately identified since they did not have any identification documents with them, and no one seemed to know them.
The three were taken to Kisii Mortuary, as the police embarked on an identification process to unravel their identities and inform their families.
The villagers expressed their shock over the incident, wondering why they would be dumped in the area and not anywhere else.
They further concluded that whoever did that must have known the area well, making it easier for them to commit the crime and escape without being noticed.
