Nakuru is the land of oppotunities.
It is known for its huge variety of goods and services as a result of many business establishments and willing buyers.
However, there are some business opportunities which are nearing extinction in Nax Vegas.
Here are some of them;
1. Cyber cafe's
With the increasing production and use of tablets, smartphones and laptops, cyber cafes are likely to run out of business in the next few years.
This is as a result of dwindling number of people using paid computer services, a situation that has further been worsened by the rise of cheap internet provisions that have made internet usage an easier ordeal.
As a result, there will be very few people seeking cyber cafe services in the next few years, with the operators likely to be rendered dependent on low-income services like photocopying and lamination.
2. Car Park businesses
A good number of car owners prefer leaving their vehicles at the car park during the night for fear of theft or vandalism by criminals.
This has, in the last few years, seen the number of these facilities grow with the growth in number of vehicles.
However, with many land owners showing a great interest in the more lucrative housing sectors, especially in Nakuru which could soon be promoted to a city, most of the pieces of land serving as car parks will soon be developed into houses and buildings forcing car owners to look for other options.
3. Newspaper vending
More and more reliable online news platforms are coming up each and every day, most of which can be accessed through the phone or tablets.
With one copy of newspaper going for 30-50 shillings, tens of shillings more than what is needed to access an online copy of the same, many people are opting for the shorter route which is online news sites.
Newspapers are also bulky and quite hard to dispose, making the e-paper the new order of the day.
Now you know.
