Three men were on Monday arraigned before an Eldoret court to answer to charges of being found in possession of three kilograms of bhang valued at Sh6,000.
The three, Jonathan Maina, Nickson Maina and Culygin Okwenda were arrested by the police during an operation against illegal drug sellers in Baringo estate in the outskirts of Eldoret town.
Police officers from Baharini police station conducted the operation on January 6.
The suspects also faced another charge of being found in possession of illegal alcohol from Uganda packed in sachets.
The court was told that the three were found with 2,400 sachets of the Waridi brand that has a street value of sh72,000.
They also faced a third charge of being in possession of 600 litres of chang'aa without a license.
The three suspected pleaded not guilty to all the charged and were released on a bond of sh200,000 with a surety of similar amount.
Hearing for the case has been scheduled for January 24 before Eldoret Principle Magistrate Harrison Barasa.
