Three people were on Tuesday morning arraigned before a Kisumu Law Court to answer to charges of allegedly stealing electronic items from a shop in Kisumu.
Steven Okumu, Benter Nyamara and Roselyn Okinde denied the charges before Chief Magistrate Esther Maina for the offence allegedly committed in June 1, this year.
The three are said to have colluded in stealing the items from the owner. Nyamara who used to work as the attendant at the shop is said to have taken the items worth Sh150,000 and gave them to the first and third accused persons who in return sold them.
Among the items stolen include television set, mobile phones, decoders, charges and batteries.
The owner, Ramil Shamir was away when the alleged stealing exercise was carried out and he only realised that till June 4 this year when auditing the stock.
Nyamara failed to explain how the items disappeared, something that prompted the boss to call the Police who arrested her. She is said to have confessed about what really happened and those involved.
Nyamara has been in custody from June 4. The other accused Okumu and Okinde were arrested on Saturday last week in Kisumu.
They were released on a cash bail of Sh20,000 each with surety of a similar amount pending the hearing in July 26 this year.
