Three people sustained serious injuries after a matatu they were traveling in was involved in an accident along the Nakuru-Molo road on Tuesday.
Witnesses said the driver of the vehicle lost control and veered off the road and hit a tree at Cheponde area.
Benjamin Njoroge, area chief confirmed the accident and said the driver and two passengers were rushed to Nakuru Level 5 hospital for treatment.
“The driver and two passengers sustained serious injuries and are currently being treated at Nakuru Level 5 hospital,” said Njoroge.
He urged motorists to be cautious along the Elburgon-Njoro stretch to avoid unnecessary accidents.
“Motorists should exercise caution while using the road to avoid accidents which will lead to deaths,” he said.
