Three people were seriously injured when a bus from Mombasa to Nairobi was hit by an empty fuel tanker along the Nairobi-Mombasa highway.

Reports indicate that the driver of the tanker lost control of the vehicle. 

The injured victims were taken to Mariakani Hospital for treatment.

The accidents comes barely a month after 40 people were killed in an accident in Naivasha when a truck carrying inflammable chemicals lost control and burst into flames.
