Despite the political heat between President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga the former Prime Minister, there are a number of instances when the two political bigwigs have put their differences aside and worked together for the nation.

1.In the Coalition Government
After the 2007 General Election that was marred with post election violence leading to the formation of a coalition government, Raila Odinga was appointed as the Prime Minister and Uhuru Kenyatta served as the Deputy Prime Minister alongside Musalia Mudavadi. Here the two leaders frequently worked together in achieving the goals of the coalition government.
2.Constitutional Referendum
In the 2010 constitutional Referendum, President Kenyatta and Odinga were in the same camp spearheading the"Yes" campaigns on the 2010 Construction a constitution that was approved by 67% of Kenyan voters.
3.Fidel Odinga's death
When Raila's son Fidel Odinga died, Uhuru Kenyatta condoled with Odinga's family and joined the family at All Saints Cathedral for the funeral mass. Raila Odinga thanked the President for giving out choppers for transporting the body of the late Fidel and also deploying government security for protection during the burial of his son
