3 men were on Wednesday sent to jail for 25 years by a Mombasa Court for allegedly sodomizing a boy aged 9 years.
The prosecution said the suspects Vitallis Mumany, George Omondi and Kelvin Savania committed the offence between April 13 and 15 last year at Kidogo Basi area in Kisauni within Mombasa County.
The three suspects appeared before Mombasa principal magistrate Edga Kagoni who found them guilty of committing the offence intentionally with an intention to satisfy there sexual needs.
Kagoni said the prosecution provided enough evidence to sentence the trio.
The magistrate said there is need to keep away the trio from the public for the safety of the boy and girl child.
Kagoni warned other people against raping and sodomizing minor saying their days are numbered and severe punishment will be given to offenders if found guilty.
