President Uhuru Kenyatta, through his lawyers will take defense on Tuesday morning, barely a day after petitioners laid their case.
Opposition leader Raila Odinga had taken Kenyatta to court over alleged electoral malpractices and fraud, a case that has attracted international audience.
And with limited time before judges make a determination on Friday, Uhuru will be depending on three renowned lawyers to argue his case.
Lead lawyer Ahmednassir Abdullahi will be showing his legal prowess, a field that he has practices for over three decades.
Known for his intimidation nature, Ahmednassir, who represented IEBC in a similar case in 2013, went to University of Nairobi and Cornell University in New York.
Also in the team is Fred Ngatia, a lawyer who came to limelight in 2013 during a similar presidential election case. He also represented the family of the late Vice President George Saitoti.
Ken Ogeto, a Kisii born lawyer cum politician will also be working from behind scenes. He is a close ally or President Kenyatta and is expected to argue the case.
