The Anglican Church of Kenya (ACK) Bishops from Western, Nyanza and North Rift regions have challenged politicians across the country to conduct issue based campaigns.
Speaking to the press at the ACK Cathedral in Eldoret town on Friday, the Bishops led by Stephen Kewasis of Kitale Diocese reiterated the need for the politicians to 'sell' their agenda to the people instead of attacking each other.
"We want politicians to start articulating what they can do for our country and not insulting and talking I'll about others," said Bishop Kewasis who spoke on behalf of the other Bishops.
The Bishops also challenged all candidates vying for various elective positions to be ready to accept elections results.
"When all is said and done, all the political leaders and the people of Kenya should accept the final results of the elections," Bishop Kewasis noted.
"We all need to remember that Kenya is bigger than one single party or individual as after elections we shall go back to still be Kenyans," he added.
They further emphasised on the need to respect institutions that make governance effective like Judiciary and the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).
