Suspected thugs sodomized a man to death in Getare village in Nyamira Nyamira County on Wednesday night.
It is alleged that suspects ambushed the house where the man identified as Manyange was sleeping alone and demanded for money before they did the heinous act on him.
The deceased son Kennedy Manyange narrated how he heard the thugs harassing his dad in the house when the raided the home.
"On Wednesday night thugs raided our home and broke into my dad’s house where he was sleeping alone.
"I heard them demanding for money. After 5 minutes I heard commotion in the house and passed through the window to alert neighbors who arrived and found the thugs missing and dad was lying on the ground at the sitting room dead,” he said.
Area Nyumba Kumi official Peter Magero said the deceased was naked and bleeding from his anus.
“Manyange was sodomized by the thugs who later strangled him to dead. It is a bad incident which must be condemned,” he said.
Michael Lesmum area police boss the thugs are being hunted by police.
He said the man’s body was collected to Nyamira County hospital mortuary.
