Police in Nairobi have beefed up security in the city centre ahead of demonstrations over IEBC Chief Executive Ezra Chiloba.
Opposition NASA supporters have braced themselves to avail themselves at the agency's headquarters at Anniversary Towers to push for the forceful resignation of Chiloba.
However, the Gema group which consists of Kikuyu, Meru and Embu communities has also vowed to demonstrate against the opposition and push for Chiloba to remain in office.
As early as 6am, there were GSU officers spotted around Uhuru Park, preesumably in preperation for the tough day ahead.
Part of their task will be to ensure no demonstrator enters the IEBC presmises at Anniversary Towers.
They will also be expected to beef up security around the city to stop clashes between the two sets of demonstrators.
