Speaking on Radio Jambo's 'Mazungumzo Waziwazi' Thursday evening, the leader revealed that the development has created fear among the DP's lieutenants.

He claimed that the side is uncomfortable with the reunion which it suspects will sabotage Ruto's 2022 presidential bid.

He added that the DP's quarters was already sure of its win in the race, a victory that now seemingly hangs in the balance with the entry of the Orange party leader whom they think could redirect Kenyatta's support elsewhere.

"Ruto and his team were already anticipating a win and were almost starting to celebrate but the entry of Odinga into the equation has thrown them back to the drawing board as they suspect that he will influence the President to breach his earlier promise to support Ruto in 2022," said the lawmaker.

"They observe Raila as a spoiler who is out to spoil their awaiting party and since they cannot question the President for allowing Odinga close to him, they are demonstrating their panic through Raila and the truce," he added.

A section of Ruto's handlers have since accused the former Premier of using the reconciliation and healing campaign to boost his candidature in the same race.

Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen and his Nandi counterpart Samson Cherargei have been in the front line in bashing Odinga for the alleged crime.
