According to Kisii County deputy governor Joash Maangi, politicians should focus on giving quality service delivery to the people because it is not the time for politicking.

“Elected leaders in Kisii should unite and serve our people diligently and shun politics that divided our country during last year’s elections,” he said.

Maangi also urged political losers to join with elected leaders to develop the county.

“Politicians who lost during August 8, 2017, polls should stop unnecessary attacks and criticism. There is always next time for them to contest again. Let’s embrace unity, peace, and harmony for the sake of our country,” he added.

Maangi was speaking at his office when he met with Kisii County women representative Janet Ongera.
