Kitutu Masaba MP Timothy Bosire is seeking sympathy from his constituents after his shameful deeds while representing them in the Parliament, Jomo Kenytta Foundation chairman Walter Nyambati has said.

According to Nyambati, Bosire's deeds are a distress to his voters who he claimed respect the current government led by President Uhuru Kenyatta.

"The President should know that Bosire's deeds are not the views of Kitutu Masaba people or Nyamirans. It should be treated as an individual's take and Bosire should stop tainting our good name to Kenyans," said Nyambati.

The gubernatorial hopeful said the MP's homecoming on Sunday where Cord leader Raila Odinga is expected to attend is just but seek sympathy to the electorate and it won't work.

"Bosire should know that we are already annoyed and his homecoming is just but a joke to the people he's representing in Parliament," said Nyambati.

Bosire has been in the limelight in the recent past for all the wrong reasons. First, he declined to stand in honour of the fallen KDF soldiers during Uhuru's State of the Nation address in Parliament earlier this year.

Two weeks ago, he was among eight legislators who spend four days in custody at the Pangani and Muthaiga police stations over inciting remarks.

All the legislators were charged in a Nairobi court with hate speech and are out on bond.

The homecoming is also expected to be used a platform for the MP to launch his 2017 re-election bid.
