Kitutu Masaba MP Timothy Bosire has labelled Education Cabinet secretary Fred Matiang'i as bossy and demanded that he summons all education stakeholders to find ways of curbing the fires in public schools.
More than 100 schools have been set ablaze, a tragedy that has never witnessed before in the history of the country.
Bosire who also doubles as the ODM national treasurer took on Matiang’i accusing him of being ‘too judgmental’ and ‘bossy’ by making arbitrary decisions without consultations.
“The problem with Education CS is that he is too bossy and judgmental. We don’t need such kind of attributes when it comes to management,” he said.
“To end the menace we are facing in our schools, the CS must eat a humble pie and involve all education stakeholders to come up with viable decisions if we are serious on ending the crisis. We cannot have schools burning literally after every single day,” he said.
He, however, welcomed several reforms in the sector under the leadership of Matiang'i but insisted that dialogue was the best way to restore sanity in schools.
“I don’t oppose everything he does because some fundamental reforms especially on KNEC are welcome. However, his attitude and inability to consult widely is the main undoing,” he said.
