College is meant to be the best four (or more) yearsof our lives where we are all expected to quickly balance a new campus, newfriends and a new list of responsibilities. For some people, one of those newresponsibilities is a part-time job.

 Plan, plan and plan!

Allow your planner to be your best friend.Having an up-to-date planner will also help you when it comes to makingcommitments in the future. If you are deciding what day to hold a big event, having a current list of projects and test due dates will help you make thedecision on what day will be best.

Take care of yourself

Its highly recommended thatyoung adults, ages 18 and up, get anywhere between 7-9 hours of sleep everynight. If you make time for a good night’s sleep, you’ll already be aheadfor your next day. Once you get into the grind of day-to-day life it is easy tolet yourself get bogged down. One quick fix is to make time for an enjoyableactivity at least twice a week.

Don’t forget the big picture

It’s so easy to get caught up in working at anew job while letting your grades slip. Always remind yourself  that youare here to get a degree, not to be a server. it is important to make decisionsthat will set you up to succeed in your entire college career. If you keep thebig picture in mind, you will always make it through those rough weeks.
