Fish can be prepared using almost any type of cooking method including baking, steaming, frying, grilling, broiling, or slow cooking.

Fish cooking temperatures are also important to monitor in order to ensure it is safely cooked to the proper temperature.

Here is a cookbook tip.

Ingredients

1. Fresh medium sized tilapia (Straight from the lake if possible)

2. Onion

3. TomatoesVegetable oil for deep frying

Procedure

Scrape off the fish scales and remove the insides from the fish and wash thoroughly with clean water.

Cut the fish into pieces after which you sprinkle salt over before putting it out in the sun for thirty minutes which will enable it to drain.

Heat the oil until it is hot. About 360 degrees is recommended.

Dip the fish into the oil when it is dry then let it fry until it is golden brown.

Fry onions and tomatoes in a separate sufuria and when they are well, pour a cup of water into the mixture and wait for it to boil.

Put your fish in the soup (onion and tomato) and cover for 10 minutes.

Serve with ugali and any vegetables of your choice

Enjoy the meal with your family and friends or any other person you may know.
