Moiben Member of Parliament Sila Tiren has condemned governors for wanting Constituency Development Fund (CDF) monies to be devolved and assigned to counties.
Speaking to journalists on Sunday, Mr Tiren said that county bosses are self-centered and their aim in the move was to siphon public funds.
"How can governors control the funds and yet they cannot account for money given to them by the treasury?" he asked.
Tiren said that CDF was a long lasting initiative since most projects had been initiated and completed courtesy to the funds.
"In this financial year, CDF has been given 35 billion shillings and we will continue lobbying for the funds to be increased," he said.
"We are continuing to make necessary logistics to ensure that kitty is according to the law," added the Moiben legislator.
