Moiben Member of Parliament Silas Tiren has sent a touching message of condolence following the death of his Baringo South counterpart Grace Kipchoim.
Through his official Facebook page, Tiren termed the late Kipchoim as a brilliant mind and a performer.
“On behalf of the people of Moiben Constituency, I wish to convey the deepest condolences to the family, friends, and people of Baringo South Constituency following the death of Hon. Grace Kipchoim,” posted Tiren.
“As parliamentarians, we have lost a brilliant mind and a performer. May the Almighty God grant peace and comfort to the family and friends during this tough period. RIP Mheshimiwa,” he added.
Kipchoim passed on at Nairobi Hospital on Friday 4.30 am after a long illness.
“This is very sad. We convey our condolences to her family,” said Baringo North MP William Cheptumo while confirming the death.
The MP who was serving her second term was been battling cancer which she was diagnosed with in 2014.
She was re-elected in last year’s general elections on a Jubilee ticket despite having not campaigned due to what is believed to be her excellent development record and efforts in addressing insecurity in the volatile region.
