The Jubilee legislator said the move was in order since NCPB had rotten.

"As I have been relentlessly speaking about the rot at NCPB, it has now been made extremely clear to Kenyans that farmers have been for a long time lied to and taken for granted and the removal of such corrupt officials is overdue," said Tiren on a post on his official Facebook page, Tuesday.

The MP reiterated that the NCPB scandal illustrates that farmers have been suffering at the hands of a few privileged individuals and said all those involved must be prosecuted.

"The recent purge done at NCPB is welcomed but should not serve as a cover-up of the rot that has made Kenyans suffer. The investigations should yield results and name those involved so that justice can be served by bringing the perpetrators to book and those found guilty should face the full force of the law," added the two-time MP.

He noted that the Ministry of Agriculture had confirmed that eight traders have been paid a total of Ksh 1.9b for the last three months money that would have been used to pay 4000 farmers.

Tiren called upon President Uhuru Kenyatta to end corruption menace before things get out of hand.
