Lands Cabinet Secretary Prof Jacob Kaimenyi dismissed claims that a Court ruling said title deeds that the Ministry has been issuing to land owners since 2013, are not legally recognised.
He faulted those spreading the allegations, saying his Ministry has never issued fake or illegal tittle deeds to applicants.
He slammed the Standard newspaper following a 'false' publication, saying he has been in the lead in advocating for application of land tittles to avoid cases of land disputes and grabbing.
Addressing the press, Wednesday, Kaimenyi noted the Court directed that proper mechanisms and rules and regulations be put in place, to govern how the National Lands Commission (NLC), will be preparing the land tittle deeds.
According to Kaimenyi, Kenyans who acquired the titles since 2013 should not worry, for they were issued as per the Ministry's laws.
"I reassure the public that contrary to what is reported in the Standard newspaper on January 17, 2017, and other electronic media, that grants, leases and certificates of titles issued by the ministry after 2013 are legal, valid and legitimate,'' said the CS.
