Kisumu East TNA Chairman Ben Adega said selling the party in Kisumu County is proving to be difficult and has hinted at leaving the party but he has not indicated which party he will be joining.

However, Mr Adega has of recent been seen in the company of Cord officials.

He recently came to the prayer meeting for victims of anti-IEBC protests alongside Kisumu Senator Anyang’ Nyong’o.

He was also at the forefront during the demos and was last week seen during the protests against extra judicial killings when he joined lawyers and human rights activists on the streets.

Adega during the demo stated that he is mistreated whenever he goes to party headquarters in Nairobi claiming every time he goes there he is not given audience with leaders he wants to speak to.

“I am really loved by the people but they feel I am in the wrong outfit and that is why the ground is so hostile with me,” said Mr Adega.

This comes as the party struggles to find its footing in the opposition zones by wooing voters through development projects.

Mr Adega, who has declared interest in the Kajulu ward representative seat, claimed that he has been funding party activities from his pocket and this has made it difficult for him to undertake recruitment in the region.
