Officials of The National Alliance in Nakuru County have dismissed claims that they are embezzling funds and mismanaging party property in the county.
Led by TNA county chairman Samuel Githaiga, the officials said that the claims which were made by Njoro MP Joseph Kiuna were baseless and unfounded.
Speaking at the party county offices in Milimani on Wednesday, Githaiga said that there is no single cent which has left the TNA county offices and accounts without the approval of party executive members from the county.
Githaiga said that county party officials are ready to be investigated against any accusations and said that they have nothing to hide or fear.
“The claims made by Kiuna are baseless and aimed at causing confusion within the party. He cannot just wake up and claim that we are mismanaging property and embezzling funds without providing any evidence," Githaiga said.
"Our offices are open to every member who wants to know how the party runs its affairs in the county and we have nothing to fear. Let him come out and tell us if there is any money missing from our accounts and we will take responsibility,” he added.
On Tuesday while speaking in Njoro, Kiuna called on the TNA national office to investigate what he termed as embezzlement of funds and mismanaged of party property at the TNA Nakuru county offices.
