Director of public Prosecution Keriako Tobiko now wants the court to adjust the anticipatory bail terms it granted NASA-affiliated business man Jimi Wanjigi in October.

Through his advocate and while referring to an affidavit sworn by chief inspector Josphat Gichuki, Tobiko complained that the amount granted to the businessman was way below the magnitude of the offense he was being investigated against.

He also sought that the court directs Wanjigi never to leave the country without permission from the police pending completion of the investigations.

The DPP further asked the court to direct that Wanjigi deposits more documents in court to serve as surety that he will be within the court's jurisdiction until the investigations are done.

Tobiko's application has since been opposed by Jimi Wanjigi’s advocate Julie Soweto who said it was insincere since the police have never interrogated Wanjigi or gone ahead with the alleged investigations since they raided his house and vandalised property.

The court will rule on the application on 31st January 2018.
