President Uhuru Kenyatta on Tuesday evening bid farewell to Togo's president, Faure Essozimna Gnassingbe, shortly after holding a press briefing at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA).
Gnassingbe was Kenya's special guest during the 53rd Jamhuri Day celebrations at the Nyayo National Stadium, Monday, following Uhuru's invitation.
While in the Country after arriving December 12, before the fete, the two heads of state held talks at State House, alongside deputy prime minister of Jordan, Nasser Jude.
''We cherish the strong partnership that we share with both Togo and Jordan,'' Uhuru said.
Gnassingbe,had visited tech group at the Safaricom House, hours after the celebrations.
"Pleased that President Faure Gnassingbe accepted our invitation to be our Chief Guest at our Independence Celebrations. It is my belief that this is the beginning of renewed and strengthened relations between our two countries,'' Uhuru said, during Gnassingbe's departure.
