Speaking in Kisumu City Hall during the launch of an online licensing platform, the governor said frequent party rallies have eaten into his time.

His sentiments come at a time when different leaders led by Senator Anyang Nyong’o have been accusing him of doing little to improve the lives of the Kisumu residents.

According to Ranguma, he has no time to meet with investors from different parts of the world because he cannot miss party rallies.

“I once had a chat with an ambassador and informed him of my plans for the development of Kisumu County and he invited me to Estonia twice to discuss the development agenda of the county,” said Ranguma, as quoted by the Nation.

He added: “I could not go and miss ODM rallies, lest people say I am not with baba (Raila Odinga).”

In the past, ODM leaders have been blaming Ranguma for being disloyal to the party, however, he has rubbished them terming them baseless and lacking any evidence.

The Governor has declared to defend his position in the next general polls on an ODM ticket.
