10. MWALIMU INTERNATIONAL HOTEL
Owned by Mwalimu Teachers Sacco, it has risen to become a major hotel destination inside Kisii town. Recent renovations on the hotel saw the new management change its name to Mwalimu International Hotel in a move to attract any non-residents visiting Kisii and its environs. Experts say it has attained a one-star status.
9. THE STEPHENS HOTEL
Three kilometres from the Kisii CBD along the Kisii-Kisumu highway is the Stephens Hotel. With affordable prices of Sh 3500 up to 4500 per night, the Stephens Hotel has managed to attract the town’s driving class due to its adequate parking space. Its up to standard catering services have also led to its growth.
8. ZONIC HOTEL
Zonic Hotel is regarded the best place to have your meal or spend the night inside the Kisii CBD. Recent renovations have seen the hotel which has five floors attract major conferences and owner Samuel Openda aims to make the hotel the top hotel in the county. It is also has a top of the art swimming pool.
7. STORM HOTEL
Located half a kilometre off Kisii hotel is the evergreen Storm Hotel which has maintained its services all these years. Storm hotel also hosts one of the best discos in Kisii and provides car wash services among other services. Its costs around sh 4000 to spend a night at this renowned hotel.
6. MAGHARIBI HOTEL.
Magharibi hotel is the newest hotel on our list and has quickly become a major hotel destination in Kisii County. Its location just five minutes’ drive from Kisii towns seems to have worked in its favour. It provides single, half board and full board services which include breakfast. It also has deluxe single, double and executive rooms.
5. MASH PARK
Mash park is one of the longest serving hotels and has managed to maintain its loyal customers, and even added more all this time. Its self-contained rooms cost up to sh 5700 a night and the hotel still attracts prominent politicians and tourists visiting Kisii and Nyamira counties. The hotel is owned by a sitting member of parliament from the region.
4. DADOS HOTEL
Owned by the prominent Omari family, Dados hotel was established a few years ago and rose to its prominence after hosting most of the political meetings in the last election. The hotel has executive rooms with hot showers and satellite television amongst other services. It is located a few meters from Kisii level five hospital.

Ufanisi resort is located on a lush hilly tropical rain forest overlooking Kisii town. It overlooks the picturesque Nyanchwa Hills with Manga hills on the background. Its main theme is the country style hotel. The hotel has combined modern standards of luxury and opulence with cultural heritage. Its proximity to Kisii town has also worked to its favour.
