There are many things about periods women hate. One of the most hated thing during a woman’s periods is the period cramping. These pains affect women differently. Some women cannot even walk when in period pains, while others don’t feel anything at all.
If you don’t want to feel the period pains anymore, then here are five stretches you need to be doing:
1. Stomach release poses.
There are many ways cramping affects women. When the cramp pains make you feel like rolling into a ball, this is the best exercise for you as it acts against the pains. Lie down on your back with your palms facing up. Take in deep breathes which should be aimed at your belly button. Count to 20 before releasing each breath. This will ease muscles pains.
2. Block out pose
Sit on a flat ground with your legs out and the sole of your feet touching. In this position, you will be able to relax your stomach and focus on the pain. Dictate the pain and rub your stomach either slowly or hard depending on the pain until it eases.
3. Hip-hang pose
First, you start by bending your knee far down. Then move your legs wide apart while keeping your chin tucked into your chest. Wiggle your hips side by side until you feel the pain going away. Take a deep breath after you feel the pain going and then do it again.
4. Child pose Knee and sit on your ankles. Stretch your hands up and take in a deep breath. Breathe out and stretch your hand out far with your forehead on the ground. Start by putting your legs wide apart, then together. This will help ease out the pains.
5. Curl-up pose
This is majorly for women with lower back period pains. Sit on the floor with your knee hanged up. Roll backward while keeping your chin tucked in your chest. Roll back to sitting after sometimes. This sort of exercise will compress your lower back relieving it of its pain.
