Auditor-General Edward Ouko has sued President Uhuru Kenyatta, Attorney-General Githu Muigai, National Assembly speaker Justin Muturi and his clerk Justin Bundi.

The move is in Ouko’s bid to stop his removal from office over alleged wastage of public funds.

The case was filed on Wednesday, where Ouko claims that he was not given adequate time to defend himself and it is not known to him who his accuser is.

Through his lawyer Otiende Amollo, Ouko claims his right to fair administrative action has been violated.

“Given the malicious nature, the unprecedented fast-tracking and the unfair manner that the process was undertaken, he is apprehensive that the process will irreparably violate his fundamental rights and freedoms. It therefore in the interests of justice that this matter is certified as extremely urgent,” Mr Amollo said.
