Elgeyo Marakwet senator Kipchumba Murkomen has applauded the National Super Alliance (Nasa) team for changing their tune and resolving to move to court to challenge president Uhuru Kenyatta’s victory.
Uhuru was declared by Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) chairman Wafula Chebukati as the president elect in the concluded August 8 polls.
Nasa principal Raila Odinga disputed the results saying the election was not free and fair.
He refused to concede defeat and and vowed not to move to court to challenge the results.
However, during Wednesday’s ‘big’ announcement, Nasa seemed to have changed their tune after Raila noted they will be going to court to prove that Jubilee rigged the elections.
Their move to go to court was welcomed by Murkomen. The Jubilee senator however noted that the Supreme court will confirm the win of the two Jubilee leaders.
“Once again the win of President Uhuru & DP Ruto will be confirmed by the Supreme Court. Congratulations NASA”, tweeted Murkomen, Wednesday.
