A pupil who scored 417 marks in this year’s KCPE exam is worried that he may miss out on his dream of joining a secondary school for lack of school fees.
Rogers Monayo, aged 13, said her mother is unable to fund him in secondary education.
He appealed to well-wishers, local leaders, and the county government to help him achieve his dream.
Monayo said he secured an admission at Friends school Kamusinga in Bungoma County, but his mother, Beatrice Nyaboke said she has struggled a lot for the boy to go through primary school.
She said her son missed to join secondary school in 2016 after scoring 367 marks.
“It was painful that he missed joining secondary last year but I am happy that he performed well in this year. For now, I am asking well-wishers to help my son go through secondary school because my business can’t raise fees,” she said.
