Harambee Stars is currently without a head coach after Belgian Paul Put resigned last week ‘due to personal reasons.’

Speaking in Mombasa earlier this week, Football Kenya Federation (FKF) President Nick Mwendwa said that a new coach will be announced next week.

Speculations had linked Francis Kimanzi with Stars job, but the Coach insists that he is building something special at Mathare United. He says he is not ready to abandon the project at the Slum Boys.

“The last time I did something like that was when I was at Sofapaka, they approached my chairman back then and I left the club. I left the project I was working on but I do not intend to do that this season,” Kimanzi is quoted by ghettoradio.co.ke

The Dutch trained Kimanzi has managed Harambee Stars on two different occasions; first in 2008 – 2009 and then 2011 – 2012.He has also coached Sofapaka and Tusker FC in KPL.

Currently, his Mathare United side is leading the KPL log with 7 points after winning two and drawing one in the first three matches of KPL 2018 season.
