Emmanuel Musindi has been detained at the MP Shah Hospital, Nairobi, after failing to rise Sh1.5 million, hospital bill.
It is said the Luhya community artist popularly known for his 'Sena Alwanyi' hit, was admitted at the facility since May 5, after he collapsed, while performing at an undisclosed event.
According to Bonventure Mwayuli, who chairs a fundraising committee, with aims to raise funds to discharge the singer, everything has not been well.
He said accompanied by family members, alongside Shinyalu MP Silverse Anami, they unsuccessfully tried to secure the singer's release, due to insufficient funds.
Bonventure said the bill had risen to Sh2 million, yet they had raised Sh420,000.
