1.Shaffie Weru
The Reverend, as he calls himself, was raised in Kibera.
He conquered the hardship to become one of the best radio presenters in Kenya.
He is currently a top presenter at Kiss 100, a popular radio station across the country. He presents a morning show alongside Adelle Onyango.
2. Johnston Mwakazi
He is known for his unique voice that commands the attention of his listeners and viewers.
Mwakazi is a former citizen Tv news anchor who currently has his own company which offers different range of media services. He has never shied away from publicly motivating people with tales of how he grew up in Kibera.
3. Larry Asego
He is an eloquent presenter at classic 105. He previously was a presenter at Kiss 100.
Larry grew up in Kibera with his family before he became who he is now.
4.Kris Darlin
He is top deejay and CEO of Dohty family. He is also the presenter of Jamrock live, a popular reggae show that airs on NTV.
5. Abel Mutua
The famous actor and script writer also grew up in the sprawling slums of Kibera together with his family. He is one of the best script writers and directors in Kenya.
Mutua owns a production company called Philit productions together with his friends.
