President Uhuru Kenyatta's current cabinet is unsettled after there emerged news of a massive overhaul in their positions.
This is after the president held a meeting with the cabinet and informed them of his intent to bring in fresh blood as he begins the second term.
According to the Standard, 11 Cabinet Secretaries and 19 Principal Secretaries are set to go jobless just two weeks from when the president is sworn in Tuesday next week.
It is believed that the president addressed the cabinet secretaries telling them that his administration was not going to reward mediocrity and corruption.
"A preliminary list of possible appointees and those facing the sack had been put together on Thursday, the content of which is under close scrutiny of President Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto," reads a report by the Standard.
"During a meeting bringing together CSs and their PSs, President Kenyatta was resolute that whoever knows they have been involved in matters unbecoming of their various offices, ‘they had better begin to pack' and leave," the paper further reports.
Jubilee is expected to bring in new faces, with the likes of former ODM Secretary General Ababu Namwamba and former equal at Wiper Omar Hassan touted to get full ministerial posts.
