Thursday 31, August was the day set aside for the swearing-in ceremony of all elected MPs and Senators at the National Assembly chambers in Nairobi, after President Uhuru Kenyatta announced that on the official gazette notice.
It was also impressive to note that a section of NASA coalition MPs who had planed to boycott the event were also present to tak their oaths of office.

However, what stood out the most was the presence of Kitui West MP Francis Nyenze who appeared for the swearing-in ceremony with an oxygen tank.
The exercise is expected to take at least 17 hours.
