Kwale County Governor aspirant Sammy Ruwa has warned the ODM party against conducting shambolic nominations in the exercise that will be conducted on Saturday.Ruwa who is also the Kwale County Assembly Speaker has alleged there is a plot to rig him out of the nominations by his opponents under the watch of the party's election board. The Speaker, who warned of serious consequences should the exercise fail to meet the credibility test, asked for the provision of adequate security to contain any incidences of violence during the nominations. While welcoming the party's decision to postpone the exercise in the five coastal counties to Saturday, Ruwa said the extra three days will help the elections board put everything in order. He further asked party supporters to shun violence during this period. The Kwale gubernatorial contest is expected to be one of the most fiercely contested with four aspirants throwing the hat into the ring in the race for the priced ODM ticket in the region. However, the race is slowly shaping up into a two-horse race between Ruwa and Dr Issa Chipera who is considered a favourite.
