A report by the International Budget Partnership has revealed some of the top regions in Kenya that boost the best access to paved roads.

The non-governmental organisation ranked Nairobi county as the best among the top ten in their research.

“People living in Nairobi have the best access to paved roads with 3,309 people per kilometer while the bottom 10 counties have an average of 164,862 people per kilometer of paved road,” the IBPK said in its report.

However, on regional level Coast, Nairobi and Central took up 60 percent of all budget allocations, the study said.

Lower Eastern and North Rift have the highest share of unpaved roads at 15 and 12 percent respectively.
