Laikipia County government may be the first to have a fresh ‘total man’ in the high ranks.
The country executive committee member for Tourism says he is not in any way related with the late veteran politician Nicholas Biwott who was well known for his close working relationship with former President Daniel Moi.
In Laikipia, the task of growing the county’s tourism economy lies in the hands of a fresh-young and ambitious Biwott.
He is set to see the county through its first motor racing competition as means to unite communities and attract local tourism.
“Many people have registered and we want to have Turakana, Samburu, Pokot and other community cultural activity exchanges. We shall have car racing and motorcycle races with each stop over having dances and entertainment for participants,” said Biwott.
The flurry of fun activities is starting on Friday evening and shall proceed to Friday. Biwott said that Laikipia had been in the media for the ‘wrong’ reasons and this had put it on the line of being deemed as a hostile area.
He said this is not case.
Organizers set camp at Lwanyek village in Laikipia North where the Friday night will be spent with hundreds expected to turn up for the cultural led entertainment activities.
The fresh total man says the event is not meant to have racers seek to emerge to by timing, but will seek to have a multi-activity seeking to enhance cohesion among the Laikipia constituents.
