Tottenham Hotspur fans are scratching their heads after reports emerging that their midfield kingpin Victor Wanyama will miss the remaining part of the season.
Wanyama has been out of action since hosts Spurs lost 2-1 to Chelsea in a match he suffered a knee injury.
The speculations began after Daily Mail’s sports editor Ian Ladyman said the Kenyan's season could be over due to the injury.
After Ladyman’s comments, fans took to social media to further fuel fears of completing the season without a dependent regular.
If this Wanyama rumour about him being out for the season is true, it's going to be a monumental blow to our season. #THFC #COYS," said Jordan Pomeroy.
"If that thing is true about Wanyama being out the season. We need to take a real look at our medical staff because wtf," JWIMYS said.
Trevor Looyd said: "I worry whenever Pochettino says an injury is minor or not serious, that we will see that player again. Rose, Lamela and Wanyama #THFC."
"Wanyama out for the season? We arguably have the worst medical team going," Scott Delaney said.
