Nakuru’s Lake View Member of County Assembly Wanyoike Wanango has encouraged local and foreign tourists to tour the county.
Speaking on Tuesday in Nakuru Town, the MCA said the county has many tour sites that have not yet been toured by Kenyans and foreigners.
Wanango said tourism is one of the economic activities that the government should bank on for development.
“Governor Kinuthia Mbugua should set in place strategies to that will encourage tourism,” he said.
The MCA said that the Nakuru people will only access quality services if its economy is diversified and improved.
He said that the county has enough funds which it should use to market the county as a tourism and agricultural hub.
Meanwhile, the MCA has urged the county leaders to focus on development and stop side shows.
The MCA said that side shows and unnecessary wrangles will only derail development.
“It is time for us leaders to concentrate on matters that will benefit the people and not politics all the time,” he added.
