There was drama in Naivasha town after a tout who had allegedly not bathed for more than two months was stripped naked and washed in public.
The tout who operates near the Nuclear Matatu bus terminus was ‘arrested’ by drivers and conductors who accused him of ‘staining’ their business.
The tout who is also said to be a habitual drunkard was caught unawares, tried to resist but the mob was too strong for him to escape.
While screaming and singing, the Matatu operators took the tout to a nearby water source where the drama unfolded.
The exercise nearly turned tragic after the tout escaped into a nearby hotel toilet and locked himself in forcing his workmates to break in.
According to Sam Muraguri one of the operators, “The man had tarnished our business after he failed to take a bath for more than eight weeks.”
There was a light moment after one of his colleagues told the crowd that the tout stopped washing and resorted to drinking after his wife left him for another man.
The tout was however rescued by the hotel owner who told the crowd to leave him to bath alone in peace.
